LIDS FROM THE CUCUTENIAN SETTLEMENT ROMA-BALTA LUI CIOBANU (BOTOȘANI COUNTY): ANALOGIES AND FUNCTIONALITY

Summary/Abstract: This study analyzes lids discovered in thearchaeological material from the Cucutenian settlement of Roma-Balta lui Ciobanu, through the context ofsimilar vessels and analogies from the Cucuteni-Trypillia area. Considering the rarity of these vessels in theCucuteni culture, we will assume that other forms of multi-function vessels were used according to needs tocover the supply vessels. Although these vessels were made in the Cucutenian tradition, the variants of thesevessels are visibly improved from one phase to another.
