Summary/Abstract: The present research considers the problems of student migration of Bulgarian Diaspora from Ukraine. Who are those who migrate? The mechanisms of realization of the migratory plans of young people are considered. The migrating young people are differentiated according to age, background and areas of return. What are the reasons for migration? The factors forming migratory mobility of Bulgarian young people from Ukraine during the last 15 years are considered. During the period between 1990 and 2005 two basic stages have been outlined: 1. Until 1996, with prevailing emotional factor; 2. After 1996, with prevailing economic factor. What is the aim of migration? Three basic vectors have been determined: 1. To get education and come home; 2. To use Bulgaria for the transit migration to the EU; 3. To move to Bulgaria as a permanent place of habitation. The Ways of Immigrants. The reasons of change of emotional-mythical pictures of ancestral home are considered by the realistic looks on the life in Bulgaria with its positive and negative sides. Speaking about prospects of students completing their studies and about their strategies of conduct in relation to the country of destination, the author draws conclusion that the temporal migration is transformed into immigration. Whether it is needed to do something in this situation and what? Social programs which would promote the destinations of young people offer: 1. Informative program, directed on supporting permanent contacts with students during their studies; 2. Destination program, directed on attracting young specialists with the aim at final settlement in the proper country; 3. Adaptation program, directed on intensification of the process of adaptation of Bulgarians remaining to live in Bulgaria or Bulgarians getting back to Ukraine.
