Onomastics and Terminology

Summary/Abstract: In an attempt to address some current issues of Hungarian onomastic terminology, the Department of Hungarian Linguistics and Terminology Research Group of Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary, the Institute of Hungarian Language and of Finno–Ugrian Studies of Eötvös Loránd University and the Society of Hungarian Linguistics organized a workshop entitled “Onomastics and Terminology” on 16th of May, 2012. Participants agreed that a permanent solution for the problems discussed can only be achieved by constructing and continuously upgrading a database on Hungarian onomastic terminology. The papers presented in the workshop are published in the Onomastics and Events section of our journal Névtani Értesítő.
