Summary/Abstract: Ecotheology is a new branch in the field of theological science. It aims to create theological basis for the issue of ecology and natural environment protection. It displays the transcendental perspective of these problems. Ecotheology also concentrates on human responsibility for the work of creation, the notion of “ecological sin” as well as our limited freedom as it comes to making use of natural resources. It is an important element in a dialogue between theology and environmental sciences.
