Summary/Abstract: This article aims to analyze the objectives and lines of action of the new Law 12/2022, of 30 June, regulating the promotion of occupational pension plans within the framework of the supplementary pension system. Before doing so, however, we consider it necessary to take a closer look at the three fundamental pillars on which the Spanish pension model is based and to deal specifically with the Spanish legal model of supplementary social protection.
