Summary/Abstract: This article presents several documents relating to Polish personalities who took refuge in Craiova during 1939. These are Marshal Edward Rydz-Smigly and the President of the Polish Republic, Ignacy Mościcki. The documents show that the Romanian authorities treated important Polish officials with great care.
