Summary/Abstract: Nowadays, it is well-accepted that the personality structure in five factors is suitable for several theoretical frameworks. McCrae and Costa (1996) point out that these factors can constitute the core for a theory of personality and describe some of its main elements. In addition, leadership is one of the most frequently studied subjects in management and applied psychology. Everyone is concerned by leadership, as all members of an organization are affected by the people who are in charge. In turn, leaders seek to understand the characteristics that contribute to leadership success and that have a positive impact on the organization. Therefore, the Big Five model can provide a solid picture of what an effective leadership is, but developing and improving leadership skills requires effort and continuous learning.
