Summary/Abstract: In the present paper, we will continue our analytical article on the 2022 TIFF (Greece): Árpád Péter: The Media Environments of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival 2022. ME.dok, 2023/4, namely, with an analysis of the 64th edition (2023) of the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. In the a forementioned article, we briefly outlined – among the firsts in Hungarian language – the history of the film festival and analysed the symbolic dimensions of its visual identity and its embeddedness in Greek culture and international film culture, in this year’s paper, we will focus more on analysing the image of the latest edition of the festival, and in particular, on the contextualisation of the oeuvre of Vassilis Selimas, its creator, and how it fi ts into the symbolism and ideology of the festival’s visual identity. We also briefly analyse the competitive structures of TIFF, which took place between November 2-12, 2023, and present a film we saw at the festival, Stergios Paschos’ The Last Taxi Driver, in a social, historical, and media context.
