Summary/Abstract: Irène Némirovsky, a novelist of Russian origin, saw her work rediscovered after the posthumous publication of Suite Francaise in 2004. Beyond her novels, her interviews and the testimonies of those close to her offer precious insight into the construction of her ethos, that is to say the image she projects of herself as a writer. Irène Némirovsky constructed an ethos marked by the quest for assimilation, intellectual rigor, and profound introspection. This image, shaped during her lifetime and after her death, testifies to the complexity of her identity and her literary commitment.
