Summary/Abstract: This publication presents the Russian translation of the article “The Folded Nothing” by French phenomenologist Marc Richir. This article marks the philosopher’s first step toward his ambitious project of reworking (“reforging”) the fundamental principles of classical phenomenology. In this text, Richir, while criticizing Husserl’s theory of knowledge, presents an original figure of phenomenalization, characterized by a double movement of folding and unfolding, through which beings emerge as a byproduct, a visible trace of an invisible becoming. To define this movement, Richir engages with the Plato’s dialectic from Parmenides, as well as the dialectic of the internal and the external, constructing a complex system of interactions between these conceptual pairs. His goal, however, is to undermine the integrity of these dichotomies, which, among other things, led classical phenomenology toward Platonism. At the same time,Richir does not limit himself to phenomenological methods but also incorporates structuralist insights:idea that objects within a system lack intrinsic meaning, figures of différance and the trace. By layering these perspectives, Richir does not seek to establish a new rigid theoretical framework but rather aims to develop a new mode of thinking capable of overcoming the trap of classical metaphysics of foundations. As a result, what he offers is a unique perspective opened up through the thinking of phenomenalization—a perspective of de-transcendentalized phenomenological description, whose limit is determined by the very threshold of différantiation. In setting this limit, thought returns from its metaphysical wandering in search of foundations and establishes a new mode of thinking.
