Summary/Abstract: This paper examines the impact of Slovakia's aging population on its industrial sector. Using statistical methods including the Dynamic Economic and Reproductive Ageing Index, Labour Inflow, Outflow and Replacement Coefficient, and the Boersch-Supan model, the authors analyze population ageing trends, labour force size and projections, focusing on the industrial sector. Findings indicate that Slovakia is experiencing accelerating population ageing, increasing pressure on social systems, and slow growth in the industrial workforce. By 2028, the industrial sector may not require additional labour, possibly due to efficient resource use or automation. Slow workforce growth could constrain competitiveness and innovation.
