Summary/Abstract: Through GEO no. 92/2021, with the latest amendments brought by Law no. 17/2023, the legal regime of waste in Romanian legislation was updated, being harmonized with the normative acts of the European Union. The latest changes, made by Law no. 17/2023, produced important effects regarding the crimes directed against the legal regime of waste, making most of them more reliable and making another more vulnerable. The purpose of the paper is to briefly analyze all the crimes provided for by art. 66 of GEO no. 92/2021 in order to identify the deficiencies that may appear in judicial practice.
