Summary/Abstract: The quality of life of people in societies depends strongly on the economy, and in order to ensure quality of life, decent access to people in the economy, and to ensure humane and socioeconomic development, the current economy needs to be humanized. In this context, challenges arise for the younger generation, who need to be prepared for this role already in the educational process. This is linked to the need to change the dominant paradigm in education – “education for profit” – and to the need to include some new knowledge in the education of future experts for the economy. The paper argues in favour of the implementation of economic ethics in the education of future economists. The implementation of this applied ethics, but also of some other ethics, is to enable future economics practitioners to understand the real reasons for the renaissance of the fundamental goal of economics, and also for the assurance of humane approaches to human resources, and ultimately for the reformation of the whole economy in favour of human beings.
