Summary/Abstract: The article examines the main leadership styles identified by Ensari et al. (2020), namely transformational, transactional, ethical, supportive, and authentic leadership, and explores their relationship with basic personality traits introduced by Jung and the Big Five personality framework. Initially, the paper reviews various theories addressing the link between personality traits and different leadership skills, followed by an analysis of significant correlations between personality characteristics and the five leadership styles. It is argued that while transformational leadership is more suited to intuitive visionaries, transactional leadership appeals to pragmatic and organized individuals. Ethical and supportive leadership is based on strong empathy, openness, and a commitment to others, whereas authentic leadership requires a high level of self-reflection and inner integrity. The study shows that neuroticism has the lowest correlation with the five leadership styles.
