Summary/Abstract: The concept of self-image is described as the individual's descriptions about himself or herself. Among the study of self-image description literature, it can be seen that there are numerous concepts about self-image, most of which are used in an interchanging manner. (Franzoi, 1999). In spite of the difficulties in the description of the concepts concerning self-image, it is a widely studied issue from the historical point of view. James (1890) is the first one to think over self-image and mention its disturbed aspect.
