Summary/Abstract: In recent years, human resources management (HRM) in public hospitals has undergone significant changes, influenced by factors such as technological progress, demographic changes, and the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper examines the new emerging trends in HRM in public hospitals in Romania, highlighting the importance of adapting to the new conditions to maintain the efficiency and quality of healthcare services. Efficient human resources management in public hospitals is essential for optimizing costs and improving healthcare services. By investing in the recruitment and training of healthcare professionals, public hospitals can ensure a skilled workforce, capable of providing high-quality care to patients. Additionally, an adequate level of staff can address the issue of long waiting times and improve emergency response capacity.
