Summary/Abstract: The scope of this study is to analyze the entrepreneurial activities of Nejat Ferit Eczacıbaşı, the eldest son of the Unionist Mr. Süleyman Ferid, who left his civil service in İzmir and started his commercial life in the period when the socio-economic structure was suppressed and nationalized by public policies, according to the political developments of the period. The activities of Eczacıbaşı’s firm are analyzed along with the reasons of how he approved of the change/transformation of the public policies of the period and how he directed his entrepreneurial activities according to these policies. In this research, the main characteristics of the economic structure of the period are identified and how Eczacıbaşı firm adapted to this structure or internalized these policies is revealed. Whenever there is a difference in the content and implementation of economic policies, entrepreneurs have quickly found a way to adapt to this difference. The Eczacıbaşı firm has also participated in this grift, ambiguous and idiosyncratic relationship between the state and the business world, and this study shows how and in what way it has always been ready to take on important tasks, both during the period of the Unionist Mr. Süleyman Ferid and during the period of Mr. Nejat, the "Turkish entrepreneur scholar". The periodic analysis of the entrepreneurial activities of Eczacıbaşı shows that there is a direct proportional relationship between the style of economic organization and entrepreneurial activities. The most important result of the study is the explanation of the social, political and economic reasons why Mr. Nejat, who was aware of the necessity of initiating the process of corporate entrepreneurship that he had experienced with his education abroad, chose Istanbul instead of using the process and location that his family had achieved.
