Summary/Abstract: The film Wild is a film about Cheryl Strayed's desire to escape from the troubled life she has been living recently and explore her inner world, realizing the mistakes she has made. Cheryl Strayed is a character shaken by the death of her mother, mired in drugs and her marriage has ended. She is a woman who has almost dedicated her life to selfdestruction. While her mother is struggling with Bobbi's memories, she makes an important decision and goes for a long walk alone to get over what she has experienced in the past. During the walk, from time to time he remembers the bad things he has experienced in the past and remembers his purpose for taking this trip. In this study, the wild movie, cognitive-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, which is a tradition from the postmodern school (KKT) aims to examine in the context of. Experiential avoidance, which is one of the basic concepts that are evaluated negatively kkt feelings, thoughts, memories, and the unwillingness to experience bodily sensations, and defines as the act of frequency or to reduce the impact of these experiences made. Experiential avoidance in the face of job is placed in the word. The parts and expressions that are thought to correspond to these words in the film have been analyzed. In this study, document analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. As a result, it was thought that this film, which contains examples especially suitable for the concepts of staying in the moment and living in terms of values, would benefit the psychological counseling process within the framework of the KKT approach.
