Summary/Abstract: This article examines the DigComp (digital competence) and GreenComp (greencompetence) competency frameworks as key skills for the modern worker in the context ofdigital transformation and sustainability. With increasing digitalisation and the growing needto manage natural resources responsibly, today’s labour market requires a combination oftechnology and environmental responsibility, so digital and green competencies are becomingessential for employees. The article presents the results of a pilot study conducted in 2024among teachers of first- and second-level trade schools from the Mazowieckie and LubelskieVoivodeships, who assessed their level of digital and ‘green’ competences. The research wasconducted as part of the implementation of the project: Roadmap for the Transformation ofEducational Institutions through the Implementation of an Institutional Approach to Sustainability(SUSEDI, Erasmus-EDU-2022-Pi-FORWARD). The research results obtained indicate the need forinterdisciplinary education and competence development that responds to the challengesof the modern economy. The pilot studies conducted confirmed the validity of integratingDigComp and GreenComp in education and in the labour market to prepare employees tofunction in a dynamically changing environment.
