Cechy stylistyczne współczesnych kazań wygłoszonych w polskich kościołach pentekostalnych
Stylis c features of contemporary sermons preached in the Polish Pentecostal churches

Summary/Abstract: The ar cle aims to present the ways in which some of the features of Catholic religious discourse are manifested in contemporary Polish Pentecostal sermons. The following features can be observed: formulaic speech, conven onality, and cliché expressions (i.e., using phrasemes, pha c formulae such as “Amen” in a dialogue with the preacher, and exclama ons), the existence of a certain constant composi on framework (as a form of standardiza on), colloquial, biblical and high style, elaborate fi gura veness, dialogic prac ces, which have taken the form of persuasiveness (specifi c grammar forms, scenario speech – repea ng formulae a er the preacher and entering into a staged conversa on with him, specifi c pha c forms such as men oning the names of the people present at the service), and professionalism.
