The glories and shadows of the French counter-terrorism system

Summary/Abstract: In this article, the author presented the results of an analytical study of theanti-terrorist solutions used in France. They provide a kind of signpost in the fightagainst terrorism for other countries, not only the European Union. In particular, theinvolvement of the French secret services, police and military in the process ofresponding to terrorism is emphasized, as well as the role of non-governmentalorganizations working to support victims of terrorism. Also presented are the activities of the French state in creating uniquederadicalization programs and conducting policies to respond to incidents ofextremism, which could be implemented in Poland.
