Summary/Abstract: The Norbertine Monastery in Strzelno, which has existed since the 12th century, hides a rich musical culture that is constantly developing, becoming part of the national and European heritage. The interest in the past of the site came mainly in the second half of the 20th century, and, as a consequence, the history of the Norbertine nuns and an instrumental ensemble was discovered, books and music documentation were found, and a catalogue of musicians active in the Strzelno church over the centuries was compiled. The historic scientific research is complemented by the musical iconography found in the temple, which carries a profound message and forms a coherent whole with the chanting and music performed therein. This publication constitutes a humble discovery of the iconographic content and an attempt to decipher their iconological meaning. To achieve this result, historical, analytical, iconographic and iconological methods were employed.
