Summary/Abstract: Recep Vahyî (1867-1923), one of the most prolific poets of the period called “Middle Generation”, lost more than 15 of his works with his death. One of his books, “İhtisâsât”, dated 1910, which is one of the books of which no copies have been found although its name is known, has been transferred to our personal library by being purchased from an auction. In this 183-page book, written in Recep Vahyî's own handwriting, a previously unknown poem by his close friend Tevfik Fikret (1867-1915) was discovered along with his lost poems. In this study, Tevfik Fikret's poem, which has not been included in any poetry collection, is discussed and introduced. The poem in question is an unknown elegy written for Ahmed Şuayb (1876-1910), a famous critic of the Servet-i Fünûn period, who died on December 15, 1910 at the age of 34 from a sudden appendicitis disease. The elegy, written in the form of terza rima and in a sincere style, in the meter of feilâtün mefâilün feilün, consists of 12 triplets. In this article, a transcription of this new death poem with rika calligraphy into Latin letters and some studies and analyzes on the form and content of the poem are made, and a facsimile of the text is included at the end of the article.
