Introduction of “Modern” Technique in Newly Liberated Bulgaria

Summary/Abstract: This article discusses the new trends in the introduction of modern technology such as gramophones and radios in newly liberated Bulgaria. New technology triggers social and cultural changes in the traditional society. The study covers specific radio sets and gramophones present on the Bulgarian free market. After the First World War, entertainment equipment was also locally produced, as dynamic competitiveness, combination of multiple factors and new companies such as “Admiral”, “Bralt”, “Rodno Radio”, “Tulan”, etc. appeared.
