Summary/Abstract: This article is an attempt to explore traditional fire ritual culture. It aims to compare fire customs in Bulgaria and China. The introductory part examines in detail the rites and ritual behavior and their relationship with myth as the primary source of calendar rituals. It also considers the fire rite as a continuation of ancient solar cults. The article presents some of the most popular holidays in Bulgaria and China that are related to fire and fire rituals.
