Stages of training in Bulgarian folk dances. Step by step to specialized education

Summary/Abstract: The article presents the stages of Bulgarian Folk Dances (BFD) training that the student passes thru according to the age group in order to achieve knowledge and technical skills in the Art of dance. The goal to improve the learning process and understand the essence of the studied material is achieved by following the consistent scientific approach to mastering, drawing attention and arousing the interest and consciousness of students. The great interest to our native folklore and in particular to folk dances, caused the need to analyze and present the guidelines to trainers and trainees, as a step of specialized training in BFD – a part of the entire Art of dance. The stages of Bulgarian folk dances training are clearly systematized and the goals of each of them are presented, as this will support and enrich the scientific cognition on the way to mastering 85 the specific knowledge and practices towards the improvement and the stage performances.
