Summary/Abstract: The authors have tried to shed light on the role and importance of ethics for business and entrepreneurs. In the first part of the paper, using the Kohlberg scale of moral development, the authors attempt to show how the same scale can be applied to ethics in business. Based on this analysis, the authors point to the responsibility of the upbringing of such entrepreneurs who will, with expertise in their work, also be ethicist. In the second part of the paper, the authors have tried to draw attention to the particular problems that entrepreneurs face every day, whether it is about the problems between entrepreneurs and the state, or entrepreneurs and local communities (cities, municipalities ...) The authors devote special attention to increasingly frequent calls to entrepreneurs that they should be actively involved in politics. The authors approach that call (entrepreneur –politician) highly critical, because in the Croatian territory, something like that is not proved to be good. The authors as the essence of their work indicate that education for entrepreneurship and policy unconditionally searches education in ethics.
