Summary/Abstract: The text discusses new information on the subject of the most recent histori-cal reconstruction of the surroundings of the 14th-century ducal tower in Siedlęcin nearJelenia Góra (Lower Silesia, Poland). Previous research by archaeologists has establishedthe extent and confirmed the medieval chronology of the walled defensive enclosure andthe nature, extent, and dating of later alterations. Thanks to the discovery in the archivesof a proposal for the rebuilding of the outbuildings around the tower, dated 1806 andsubsequently verified by dendrochronological expertise, it was possible to define moreprecisely the appearance of the buildings around the tower before the works were under-taken and to determine to what extent and when the rebuilding was carried out.
