Summary/Abstract: The pandemic brought many negative phenomena. The aim of the paper was to identify factors that influenced the social functioning of people in the marginalized Roma community during the COVID-19 pandemic. We present partial results related to the perception of the impact of the pandemic on social functioning by respondents living in marginalized Roma communities. Data collection was carried out through quantitative research conducted using the questionnaire method on a sample (N=102) of re spondents. The research results bring findings that confirm the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the perception of the deterioration of social functioning of respondents. We identified mainly the loss of income in the family as negative factors of the pandemic. The research was also focused on examining the impact of the pandemic on the unemployment of respondents. This impact was not confirmed based on the data obtained from the respondents. A significant factor influencing the opinions of re spondents was their education. Respondents with higher education reflected the impact of the pandemic on the loss of income to a greater extent.
