Summary/Abstract: The main objective of this article is to determine how the number of employees and the turnovervalue aff ect the scope of use of cashless payments in the company. In order to achieve this goal, theauthors used the results of a nationwide survey conducted using the CATI method in September2022 on a sample of 360 companies. The study shows that the size of a company measured by thenumber of employees and the turnover value do not determine the scope of use of the specifi c formsof payment. The companies positively assess the security of both payment methods off ered by theservicing bank and the cashless banking payment mechanisms operating in Poland. However, thisassessment is not aff ected by either the employment size or the turnover of the company. The re-search results do not confi rm that only the largest entities are completely ready to operate cashless. The process of digitalization of payments applies equally to the small, medium-sized and largecompanies. Most entrepreneurs believe that a signifi cant reduction in the cash use in Poland in thenext fi ve years is not achievable without the introduction of appropriate legal regulations.
