Summary/Abstract: An objective of the article is to present the results of empirical research based on the comparative analysis of 5- and 7-point Likert rating scales, including two independent methods of primary data collection. The authors conducted an experiment with a 130-person group of respondents. As an empirical example, there were considered attitudes of young people towards their value system, in particular their attitudes to “hedonistic-utilitarian way of life”.
