Summary/Abstract: This article analyzes the Eucharist as the Sacrifice of the Church in light of Magisterial documents issued after the Second Vatican Council, highlighting the theological continuity and the deepening of this truth of faith within the context of liturgical renewal. The first part presents the origins of this teaching in the earliest Christian traditions and testimonies. It then discusses its development in the teaching of the Council of Trent, which formulated the fundamental principles concerning the sacrificial nature of the Holy Mass. The next section examines selected post−conciliar papal teachings − those of Saint Paul VI, Saint John Paul II, and Benedict XVI − who rearticulated the Eucharist as the action of the entire People of God and as the source and summit of the Church’s life. These popes consistently developed this doctrine further, emphasizing its spiritual, communal, and missionary dimensions. The aim of the article is to demonstrate that the teaching on the Eucharist as the Sacrifice of the Church maintains continuity with the dogmatic tradition of the Church, while at the same time, in light of the Council’s liturgical and ecclesiological renewal, has been deepened and oriented more clearly toward the active participation of the faithful.
