Summary/Abstract: Inspired by the rich and contributive research work of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Violeta Vasilchina, PhD, the text focuses on Bulgaria’s participation in Faenza International Ceramic Art Competition from the period of the National Republic of Bulgaria. The facts available are discussed, the Forum’s extremely important role in the development of this type of artistic performance in Bulgaria is presupposed and Ivan Nenov’s personal contribution to Bulgaria’s inclusion in one of the leading art events for ceramics in Europe is acknowledged as an initial stage of the research.
