The Effect of Multidimensional Leadership Orientations on Organizational Citizenship Behavior

Summary/Abstract: Purpose – The research aims to determine the effects of multidimensional leadership orientations on organizational citizenship behavior of employees. Design/methodology/approach – The relational survey method was used to determine the relationship and effect levels of the dependent and independent variables defined in the research. The study population consists of the employees operating in the service sector in Kırşehir province. As a result of the sample calculation, the field study of the research was completed with the participation of 433 employees, lower, mid and executive level managers who were above the sufficient number. Findings – Human resource frame (β= ,339; p<.001) ), charismatic frame (β=,151; p<.005) and structural frame (β=,106; p<.005) have significant and positive effects on organizational citizenship behavior. However, political frame orientation has no significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Discussion – The relevance of citizenship behavior in organizations with many concepts is seen in the studies. At this point, citizenship behavior comes to the forefront at the point of developing a positive behavior that is of great importance for organizations. In this respect, human resource, charismatic, structural, political framework behaviors, which constitute multidimensional leadership orientations, are of great importance in the workforce selection of organizational employees.
