Between Budget and Mission: A Contribution to Identifying Financial and Non-Financial Determinants of Projectification in the Non-Profit Sector in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The article aims to identify selected determinants of project implementation in the context of the pro-jectification of organisations in the non-profit sector. The presented results have enabled the identi-fication of both financial and non-financial determinants influencing projects initiated by non-profitorganisations. This leads to the conclusion that non-profit organisations in Poland, facing the disso-nance between mission and financial constraints, recognise both financial and non-financial motiva-tions for project implementation at the project initiation stage. At the same time, the advancement andfurther development of the non-profit sector, as well as the realisation of its mission through wide-spread project initiation and management – even in the face of the negative consequences of projectifi-cation – represent a scenario that is seriously considered and systemically embedded within the sector.
