Presentation of the Cultural Heritage with Interactive Exhibitions from Iceland

Summary/Abstract: A delegation from the National Library "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" visited Iceland within the project “Bilateral Cooperation for the Socialization of Literary and Documentary Heritage through Digital Technologies”. During the meetings with experts and visits to key and wellknown cultural institutions like Vigdís International Centre for Multilingualism and Intercultural Understanding, National and University Library of Iceland, Reykjavík City Library and Arni Magnússon Institute of Icelandic Language, the Bulgarian delegates learned more and experienced by themselves the innovative approaches and methods for presentation of the cultural heritage. They also visited the award winning interactive exhibitions Living Language Lab, World in Words, Heart of Iceland and Lend Me Wings that are considered best practices using digital storytelling and interactive technologies for attraction of new audiences through engaging approaches. The exchange provoked discussions with experts and specialists in the field of digitization and access to cultural content and would serve as a great base for further partnerships and introduction of good practices in Bulgaria.
