Summary/Abstract: This report examines the importance of international cooperation in investigating transnational crime. It analyzes the mechanisms for information exchange, the legal framework, and the role of international organizations such as Interpol, Europol, and the United Nations. Special attention is given to the activities of the "International Cooperation" Directorate in Bulgaria and its role in coordinating between national and international law enforcement agencies. The report highlights the importance of bilateral and multilateral agreements on extradition and legal assistance, as well as the impact of technological innovations on investigative processes. The challenges to international cooperation are explored, including differences in national legislations and the need for harmonizing procedures
