A model for sustainable application of the reflective approach in the learning process of the discipline “Piano Conducting”

Summary/Abstract: The profound social changes in modern life impose higher requirements on education. In response to these needs, new and effective means are sought to optimize the educational process. With the introduction of technical means and new information technologies into education, the nature of work and the role of the music teacher are radically changing. Modern music-pedagogical science recognizes the influence and significance of a number of factors that have stood the test of time and contributed to increasing the quality and effectiveness of the work of the music teacher.The application of reflective teaching technologies during the lessons in the discipline "Piano Conducting" is a key factor in overcoming the cognitive dissonance in students of the specialty "Pedagogy of Music Education", caused by the newly received information about conducting knowledge and manual skills necessary for their professional formation as music teachers.
