Exploring of Interests, Determination of Areas of Employment and Reasons for Practicing Table Tennis

Summary/Abstract: The aim is to determine the predominant employment, occupations, interests and reasons why people prefer to play table tennis. The subject of the study is a researching the training process of people playing table tennis in their free time. After analysis of the results, the largest percentage, 16%, who practice table tennis outside working hours are people with a profession of information technology and software services. To the question of whether they use paid lessons, 65% of respondents answered “no”, and 35% answered positively with” yes”. To the question, what do you do in your free time? 32% of respondents do sports, 17% use the Internet, 15% watch TV, 13% listen to music and 12% answer with "other". The priority in the work of table tennis sports clubs should be promotions to the activities among a larger contingent of people in professions with prominent work with computers and professions with characteristic immobility and high mental stress at the workplace.
