Summary/Abstract: This study is presenting an important period from the life of the Bishop phd. Partenie Ciopron. He was one of the three bishops of the Military Clergy Inspectorate in the Romanian Army. He proved to be one of the most energetic bishops of the Romanian Orthodox Church, who managed to save the military clergy from abolition and to give it special prestige at the level of the army. Through the pastoral visits made to the existing units throughout the country, through the discussions held with the soldiers of all ranks, through the sermons full of enthusiasm, through the seriousness and involvement required of the military priests, he won the thrust of all categories of soldiers. He managed to print the magazine “Arma Cuvântului” for guidance of the military clergy and for the presentation of the activity of the subordinate clergy in society, considering the fact that the only means of advertising were the radio and the written press.
