Ὄντως σοι, κῦρι ἀββᾶ. Function and role of a single particle

Summary/Abstract: Classical particles gradually disappeared during the later history of the Greek language, but some of their functions were taken over by other words. The adverb ὄντως in Lugo spirituala by Jovan Mosh begins to be used as a particle that attracts the interlocutor's attention. This new usage is most likely a feature of the spoken language of the early seventh century.
