Summary/Abstract: The article concerns the issue of ensuring social security for refugees in the event of their mass influx to the host country. It shows the essence of social security as a state that allows refugees to live in conditions that correspond to human dignity, which is associated with having access to fundamental goods necessary for survival and proper functioning in the society of the host country. It also addresses the issue of how in Poland, within the framework of the crisis management system, social security is ensured for refugees in a crisis situation caused by their mass influx. It illustrates the course of the process of supporting these people, identifying three stages of this process: initiating, stabilizing and integrating. This article therefore characterizes the process of supporting refugees, and also identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the procedure for crisis management in Poland in a crisis situation in the form of a mass influx of refugees. In relation to the research methodology, the document examination method, general (universal) methods were used, and a review of scientific literature was conducted. The study was based on the currently applicable National Crisis Management Plan, with particular emphasis on the SPO-9 procedure concerning the procedure in the event of a mass influx of foreigners to Poland. Additionally, the focus was also on legal sources that were key to the research issues. The publication is a starting point for further exploration of the issues of social security of refugees and crisis management in this area.
