Summary/Abstract: The article seeks to answer the question of what photographic representations of Muslims were left behind by the photo propaganda institution in Bulgaria during the communist regime from the 1950s to the 1980s. What do the original negatives show and what do the specially selected positive prints for thematic albums hide? For the first time, photographs from the emigration of Muslims in the 1950s, pre-served in the Central State Archive, are published.
