Summary/Abstract: Current technology makes it possible for everyone to take photos and record videos. In many cases, the actions of the police are recorded, both during interventions in public places, road checks carried out, as well as mass events, gatherings or protests. In this article the author draws attention to the legal protection of people on two sides of the camera. On one side there is the author of the recording, who is entitled under the Law on Copyright and Related Rights to use the resulting work in the form of a recording or film. On the other hand, there is the police officer, who is also entitled to certain rights established by the identical law. The presented article draws attention to the issue of protection of the image and personal good of recorded officers, which in many cases of films or photos viewed on the Internet are violated by the creators of these works
