Summary/Abstract: The study focuses on the reconstruction and history of the Eparchial Library in Prešov, library aids (card catalogue, transfer protocol), name or subject catalogues (1819-1942), which have different narrative value and limited documentary significance. The library has been reorganised or recatalogued several times since its foundation, which has made the registration of the library collection less transparent. The catalogues also serve as basic orientation aids for research in the field of Slavonic studies, (ecclesiastical) Slavonic manuscripts and prints, and works of important personalities. A. Duchnovich has recently again been the subject of research by historians and Slavists (Ukrainists, Rusinists). Not all his works (prints, manuscripts) in the context of the language or history of the eparchy have been preserved. Similarly, other personalities such as G. Tarkovič, M. Lučkaj, V. Ladomérsky, J. Bazilovič, A. Baluďanský, J. Čaplovič, F. V. Sasinek, A. Sirmaj and others, whose works were to be preserved in Prešov, some of them are still known today.
