Business awareness in the management of a modern organisation regarding the usage of selected information technologies

Summary/Abstract: Research objectives and hypothesis/research questionsThe aim of the paper is to identify selected information technologies as a component of strengtheningthe potential of modern organizations to ensure information efficiency and shape the appropriate level ofsituational awareness of decision-makers and employees. The entire study is profiled by the hypothesis that:modern information technologies improve the processes of management and creating the necessary level ofsituational awareness of various entities in the aspect of ensuring the effectiveness of business processes.Research methodsTo verify the formulated hypothesis, this publication will employ research methods related to a criticalanalysis of scientific publications, industry reports, and other sources relevant to the research topic. In thenear future, subsequent publications will also present the results of original research, including diagnosticsurveys conducted according to the subject-specific profile of needs.Main resultsThe article is highlight the role of technological progress and IT tools and platforms that create newopportunities in the field of situational awareness in terms of selected technologies supporting processmanagement in modern organizations. In addition, conclusions are presented on their impact on theflexibility to respond to changing market conditions.Implications for theory and practiceThe article presents not only aspects related to the functioning of a modern organization but also the possi-bilities of using selected IT solutions in this aspect. The increasing significance of digital tools in businessprocess management leads to a significant improvement in operational efficiency and greater adaptabilityof organizations in a dynamically changing environment.
