Summary/Abstract: The "Take It Down" tool represents a pioneering approach to removing explicit content and protecting young people from online exploitation, combining technological innovations and educational resources to ensure a safe digital space. The aim of the research is to analyze the availability and effectiveness of this tool in preventing the spread of harmful content and providing support to victims. The focus is on identifying key elements that contribute to safety and increasing awareness of digital rights. A quantitative study was conducted on a sample of 216 high school students who were victims or potentially exposed to online exploitation, using questionnaires to evaluate their awareness of tools such as "Take It Down". The results of the study showed that tools such as "Take It Down" significantly reduce the availability of explicit content online through the application of digital fingerprint technology (hashing), enabling easier reporting and removal of content. The respondents involved highlighted a high level of satisfaction with the functionality of the tool and the support it provides. The research implies the need to educate educators, parents and students about the benefits of this tool, as well as the Ministry of Security of BiH and police agencies to include the same tool in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Key mechanisms for positive outcomes include digital fingerprinting technology to identify and track content, a simple and secure reporting process, and providing support to users through resources and advice. The overall results imply that tools like "Take It Down" not only increase youth online safety, but also contribute to raising awareness about digital rights, digital safety, timely response to online violence, and responsibilities.
