Summary/Abstract: Cyberbullying is an increasing issue in digitally connected academic communities, with significant consequences for students' mental health and academic success. The aim of this paper was to examine the prevalence, forms, and perception of cyberbullying among higher education students, as well as to identify the role of information technologies in its prevention and recognition. The research was conducted through a survey of students from various academic programs, collecting quantitative data analyzed using statistical methods. Results indicate that a significant number of respondents were exposed to various forms of online violence, most commonly via social media and messaging apps. While most students recognize cyberbullying, they simultaneously express uncertainty regarding reporting and available protection mechanisms. Based on the findings, guidelines were proposed for improving educational IT tools and creating digital protocols to enable timely recognition and suppression of cyberbullying in higher education.
