Approaches to Reduce the Students’ Fatigue

Summary/Abstract: This article intends to investigate pre-secondary school students' working capacity and fatigue, which occurs because of academic work at school and learning at home. This issue is considered from the point of view of reducing fatigue and preventing over fatigue since it negatively impacts the general development of the student, his/her motivation for learning, and educational work. The aim is to identify reasons for the accumulation of fatigue from learning and propose specific approaches to overcome it and increase work capacity, interest, and motivation for learning. The whole information is based on a particular survey of 120 5th-grade students in secondary Bulgarian schools. It has been proven the dependence between factors such as difficulty of the educational material with the accumulation of fatigue, and the potential danger of critical consequences such as lack of motivation, reduced success rate, and even inability to cope with learning. Conclusions regarding optimizing the students' workload and preventing the achievement of a state of fatigue have been made. The research is useful for everyone involved in educational work who intends to improve the student’s results in the educational process.
