Summary/Abstract: The fast-paced demands of modern life, including hectic daily routines, work-related stress, excessive screen time, and exposure to environmental stressors such as noise and air pollution, have led to a rise in various health issues, including cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, and burnout syndrome. These health concerns are intensified by the sedentary nature of contemporary work environments. In response, balneological, spa, and wellness tourism has become an increasingly popular solution, offering therapeutic treatments such as hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, and mud therapy to combat the physical and mental toll of urban living. By providing a holistic approach to health, wellness tourism offers individuals a much-needed respite from the pressures of modern society, promoting relaxation, detoxification, and overall well-being. This article explores the connection between contemporary health challenges and the role of balneological, SPA and wellness tourism companies in mitigating the effects of urban stressors, highlighting the potential of alternative therapies to enhance quality of life.
